What is included?

Your DockShade includes the custom shade, hardware, poles, fitted zippered cover, delivery, and professional installation.

How do the poles mount to my dock?

For a standard pipe dock, longer galvanized posts use the existing pipe locations. For a ShoreStation dock, we use genuine ShoreStation brackets on the dock fingers. We confirm the right approach during the free visit.

Does anything sit in the walking path?

No umbrella base or pergola frame is needed. The post locations keep the main seating area and walking path open.

What is the shade made from?

Polytex+ is a durable HDPE mesh that creates shade while allowing air to pass through. Marine-grade 316 stainless steel hardware connects and tensions the system.

How quickly does it open and furl?

Once the system is set up, the shade can unfurl in less than a minute. Pull the control line to roll it toward one corner, then close the fitted cover around it.

How do I quickly tension the sail shade?

Three of the four corners are equipped with a Triple-Purchase Rope Tensioning System. Simply pull the free end of the rope through the blocks to tighten the sail, then lock it securely in the V-Jam Cleat.

What should I do when weather moves in?

Furl the shade before storms, heavy gusts, or whenever the dock will be unattended. The included cover protects the rolled shade between uses.
